Approaches

  • This is an evidence-based approach that aims to identify negative thought patterns, challenge cognitive distortions, develop healthier thinking habits, and change behaviours that contribute to distress.

  • Psychodynamic therapy focuses on understanding how past experiences shape your current thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. This helps identify maladptive patterns and through therapy, adaptive ways can be adopted.

  • EFT fouses on uderstanding and transforming emotions. It also helps in identifying and processing unresolved emotions

  • This focuses on emphasizing the strengths and abilities of an individual instead of limitations.

  • DBT is skills-based and focuses on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.

  • SFBT is short-term, goal-oriented approach that focuses on solutions instead of problems.

  • Therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all”. Our focus is not on one therapeutic approach but a holistic approach that puts into consideration every facet that feeds into a client’s identity and what is showing up in therapy.
